Merry Christmas! This year has come and went too quickly. I'm ready for 2011. I hope work is better for everyone and the economy is better this New Year.
We decided last Christmas we were going to do Christmas a little different this year. Christmas 2009 the whole family decided to do a trip for Christmas 2010, instead of a bunch of gifts. We all agreed on Disneyland. So all year we saved. We had what we called "The Disneyland fund". Everyone added money to it all year. Even Hailey and Davin added money to it. They put a lot of $$ into it actually. Hailey worked for money, Davin did little chores for quarters and they even put ALL their Birthday money into it. It was really neat to see the family working towards something together.
Disneyland was a hit! We had so much fun that we already started a new "fund". But this time we want to do a cruise. Disneyland worked out well for us because my grandmother paid for most of it. She paid for all the tickets and motel. We ended up having over $400.00 dollars saved up in "the Disneyland fund" which covered all the food and other stuff.
I know it will have to be all us next year because my grandmother passed away. So we know this and we all agreed that we still want to try for a vacation next Christmas.
Santa still came and saw the kids. They got the gift they all REALLY wanted. Erin: gift card to Justice. Autumn: Gift card to Clair's (she wants her ears pierced) Hailey: pogo stick & Davin: a tool set
It was a really fun Christmas!
2011 here we come!!!
My precious son turned 3 today. I'm so thankful he is in my life, he is such a joy to have in our family. We love our Davinator!
I did it!! I ran the St.George marathon. My good friend Jackie and I ran it together and we did it in 4:06.
It was the hardest thing I have ever done, yet it was definitely the neatest. We have already made up our minds to run it next year, plus we are planning on going up to Salt Lake to run the SLC marathon in April 2011.
I love running. It feels good to be doing something good for myself. For years of my life I have done things I have not always been proud of, or been addicted to things not good for my body. Not anymore. And it feels good,...real good!
I'm looking forward to many years of running.
