Happy Birthday to me!

Happy Birthday to me! I'm officially 28. I really don't feel different. I don't know when Birthday's are supposed to make you feel different or if they ever do. Anyways... I had a great day. I went to a woman's fireside tonight. That was nice. It was even better to not have my children there distracting me. I was really able to get into the meeting, and to get the whole message. My friend Emily went with me too. Then we came back to my house for some cake and Ice cream. Yummy!
Alicia let me borrow a book called Twilight. I've heard so much about it. I'm excited to read it. It is the first fantasy I will read. I hope I like it. Well my baby is crying and needs me now. Goodnight

Cooking class

So tonight I went over to Sue's house for the ward cooking class. It was a lot of fun. There were women there that I have not had a chance to get to know. They were all very friendly. I'm so glad that I went. Usually I would not go because I'm scared of stepping out of my comfort zone. But lately I've been feeling kinda lonely, and wanting to make some new friends. I had no idea so many girls would show up. Plus I got a whole bunch of new recipes to try out in my Crock Pot. I have been spending more time with Alicia Buck. She is pregnant and I guess she is kinda lonely too. We went and saw The Sisterhood of the Traveling pants 2. It was neat to be able to go out with a friend and leave the kids at home for a little while. Peace. Love it!
Anyways the movie was really cute. I still want to go see Mama Mia. I heard that was really cute too. I'm all up for going out by my self too sometimes.
The girls are enjoying school. Erin and I just did her first big math project tonight. She had to interview a parent, and make a chart on poster board about how that parent uses math in there work. It was neat. I got to dig into my creative side.
My Birthday is on Sunday. I will be 28 years old.

Back to school

Well today was back to school day. Yay!
It was nice to clean my house this morning and have it remain clean ALL DAY LONG! It was fabulous to not hear the fighting and bickering ALL DAY LONG! (Well at least for 8 hours a day)
I was able to lay down and take a nap with Hailey and Davin and the girls were not in waking me up.
I love school.
Hailey and Davin were both so happy to see the girls when they stepped off the bus and they were happy to see them too.
I did all my back to school shopping on ebay and saved a ton of money, plus I was able to buy for Hailey and Davin for the fall/winter months. It is kinda addicting because it is fun to win.

White Star

We went out on a double date last night and we went to a musical production that the Cox auditorium put on. It is called White Star. It is actually a sequel to Saturday's Warrior. Oh my goodness...It was great. It was so spiritual. There is no way anyone could walk out of there grumpy. It is only the second time I've ever gone to something like that. The first time was when Kim took me out to Tuachan to see Cinderella. I loved that too. We are planning on going to Las Vegas for our Anniversary to see The Phantom of the Opera. I hope we get to go.
Anyways... It was a neat experience. I was worried that Matt would get bored with it, but he didn't. Thank goodness. The play was 3 hours long! My poor Davin cried the whole time we were gone. Actually I should say my poor babysitter. He has stranger anxiety. Even with Erin and Autumn home he still just wanted his mommy. I think that is sweet. I guess we might have to wait a little longer before we go out again. Or make our dates super short.

Hailey's Prayer

Tonight after reading Hailey her bedtime story we said a prayer together and as I was ending it she said " ma-ma keep me safe in pool" I stopped and asked her if she wanted me to ask Heavenly Father to keep her safe in the pool, and she said yes, and she also said "ask to keep her safe while in her floaties". I thought that was the sweetest thing. How great is that, she is already trusting in him.
I'm already so proud of her.

Ready for the challange

I'm ready to go on a diet. I need to shrink my stomach. So I have decided that when Matt goes up to Hatch again, I'm going to do a Slim Fast/ Lean Cuisine diet. What I will do is have a good, healthy breakfast, then I will have a Slim Fast for lunch and a Lean Cuisine for dinner. I have had a problem achieving my weight loss goal because of how much I eat. I eat healthy, my problem is I eat too much! Food is so yummy. Even when I feel full, I still want to eat the food. I need to learn how to follow my bodies inner instinct.
So anyways, this is what I have decided. I have been thinking about it for a couple of weeks now. I know the perfect time to do it is when Matt is not home.
I know I will be able to maintain it, I'm not worried about that.
Oh yeah, I get to go on a date tonight. I feel that Davin is finally old enough to be left with a babysitter. My sister-in-law told me that she goes on date nights every Saturday, and said we can have Andrea ( her daughter/ our babysitter) every Friday night. I hope we will go out for regular date nights. I know I need it. Matt does too, he just doesn't know it yet. ;o)
