Temple Work

Today was a very special day. Matt and I went to the Temple and we did my Mom and my Dad's Temple work. I also was able to seal my Mom to her parents. It was amazing. I felt the presence of my Mom so strong. My sister in law sat in as my Grandmother and Matt sat in as my Grandfather and I as my Mother. What was funny was as soon as the sealing was complete and the man performing the ceremony said "Amen" the light flickered. At the exact same moment. It was awesome. I said "did you see that"! And everyone in the room was just as amazed as I was. It was really cool. My Mom was a joker, she would have done that just for the fun of it. My sister in law said she has never meet my mom, and she felt her presence as well. The spirit was very strong and unmistakable. I have felt so good all day long. I miss my Mom. I feel like I have spent the day with her. I look forward to the day I get to see her again.

A new do

So I finally decided to cut my hair. I called and got an appointment right away so that I would not change my mind. I got 5 1/2 inches cut off. My hair feels so much lighter and more healthy. I also had them put some layers in it. I used to have layers years ago, and I really liked them. I can not remember why I stopped having them. I must of wanted something different then too.

Obama is President

Obama is President. I'm SO disappointed.
I must say that I'm SO thankful that the election is over.Everyone in my family is talking about going out and stocking up on guns and ammo, and they are saying we have 2 months to make sure we have our 2 years food storage. C'mon, is it really that bad. Are we all going to self destruct the second he moves into the White House? I'm sure every Christian probably is thinking he is the Anti-Christ. I have heard it from everyone at home and on the internet. That is a very scary thought...for the unrighteous.
When Matt went to his Elders Quorum meeting last night he brought up his concerns to the Bishop. Our Bishop then said " I Promise, he is not the Anti-Christ", he also said that we have 30 to 80 years till the Anti-Christ comes. Also he said " Be ready for world peace",and that we do not have to worry about any of that yet, let our Grand kids worry about that. *sigh* Thank Goodness for a smart Bishop. And you know what, Matt and I believe him 100%. Our Bishop is very Smart and very Spiritual. Oh yeah he also said, Obama might make a good President. That is a good point. So Matt and I decided to give him a chance. We can be grumpy for the next 4 years or we can sustain him.
I hope everyone includes this Country in their prayers everyday no matter who the President is. We are truly so blessed to live here.
God Bless the U.S.A.

Mirror Image

When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world makes you queen for a day,
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself,
And see what that woman has to say.

For it isn’t your father or mother or husbands
Who judgment upon you must pass,
The woman whose verdict counts most in your life
Is the one staring back from the glass.

She’s the woman to please never mind all the rest.
For she’s with you clear up to the end,
And you’ve passed the most dangerous, difficult test
If the woman in the glass is your friend.

You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years.
And get pats on the back as you pass,
But your final reward will be the heartaches and tears
If you’ve cheated the woman in the glass.

Thriller

Last night me and my sister-in-law went out to Tuacahn to see Thriller. It was amazing! I just love dancing, and it was all dancing. There were these Zombies walking around trying to scare people. Their costumes were so cool. It is the second time I've been out to Tuacahn. The only other time was when I went out to see Cinderella with my friend Kim. That was a really fun show too. I'm thankful for a great husband who stays home and watches the kids so I can get out once in awhile. He told me at dinner that he is happy that I'm going out and doing something for myself because I run myself ragged around here. Anyways...it was a great night.
Happy Halloween!! I hope everyone has a great day.

Hailey's Birthday

Hailey then and now

I can not believe it has been three years since I had Hailey. Time goes faster and faster as I get older. Tonight is has also been 3 years since the last time I talked to my Dad. I remember my Brother calling me at the hospital and putting my Dad on the phone with me, and my Dad saying Hello and telling me that he is not doing to good. 2 days later on Nov 1st, he died. I miss my Dad. I'm still so grateful for Heavenly Father who knows me so well. I believe he timed Hailey's birth and my Dad's death so close together so that I would not be overwhelmed with sorrow, instead I would be celebrating the birth of my child. And it worked.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAILEY! Last night when she went to bed I stayed up and decorated the house so that when she woke up in the morning it would be the first thing she saw. And might I add, she was very excited. Then we just hung out for the day, and then after Matt and the girls got home is when it got busy. We had to go and pick up her cake, then we went to the Bear mill and she got to build a bear, compliments of my sister-in-law (she owns the Bear Mill) that was a lot of fun. She picked a blue bear and dressed it up in a Bee Halloween costume. Very cute. Then we had to come home and get dressed up to go to the Primary Halloween Carnival. That was a lot of fun too. Somewhere in between all of that we actually ate dinner and opened presents.
